'Right Price' Game Show Fundraiser

Game shows can be very exciting fundraisers - everyone wants to participate in a real TV style game with the potential to win, even if all they win is a small prize! And watching the game show can be almost as fun as actually playing it, especially if you know the participants.
Each TV style game show is different, but the overall concept is similar enough to plan the event as a fundraiser the same way for each!
The secret to success is publicity and excitement – get the word out and get people talking about your event!
Sell Sponsorships for the Game Show
- Sell overall sponsorships, major and minor, and then advertise the sponsors on your print, radio or tv ads
- Sell sponsors for each round of the show
- Have sponsors donate the prizes you are giving away
- Have sponsors donate door prizes for other giveaways throughout the evening, separate from the actual game show
Sell Tickets to the Evening
Try to price tickets in such a way that people realize it is a fundraiser but they are not being taken advantage of and are actually paying for an entertaining night with a chance to WIN prizes.
Have Fun, Exciting Prizes!
Have prizes that people will laugh at and desire (check out the prizes in the video below).
It is always good to have a big prize, even if it is not won – similar to hole in one contests. Cash always works - if you can’t get a big prize, get a sponsor to put up the cash for a prize!
Incorporate other activities
Food, drinks, and music are always good add ons and can be a money maker as well.
When people are in a charitable mood, other raffles or auctions can be great ways to help raise money.
